We’ve received numerous requests regarding placing bids on items from individuals not being able to attend. This year we will offer the ability to place bids prior to the Friday and Saturday Night auctions. These bids will be placed on the Pre-Auction Silent form attached to each lot being auctioned that night. If no one trumps that bid during the live auction, we declare the lot closed and the highest bidder on the Silent Pre-Auction form is the winner. In opening up the bidding to people off-site, we need to include several Caveats. We will send you a Paypal invoice and payment must be received no later than 6 pm Central time Sunday April 21st 2019. Fees for these auctions include: 10% Buyers Premium, 6% Paypal Fee, $5 handling charge and cost of shipping. [which would be determined by the weight of the package and the servcice requested.] All bids must be registered with the Windy City Staff using the Contact Form Below.
So if your bid is $100, then your final price would be $100 + $10 [buyers premium] + $6.60 [Paypal fee] + $5.00 [handling charge] + $5.17 [shipping for a single book via Media Mail] for a total of $126.77. All bids must be received no later than 4 pm Central time the day of the auction for the Friday April 12th 2019, or by 4 pm Central for the Saturday Special Auction April 13th, 2019.

Once we publish this list and want to pre-bid, you must identify the item not only by number, but with a brief description to be certain we are placing the correct bid. You will receive a temporary bidder number and only be identified on the Silent Pre-Auction form at the auction by this number.
